Sales and Business Development Strategist

I am a sales and business development strategist. I have been passionate about the field for over 20 years. I have worked as an employee in large corporations, as an entrepreneur, in institutional settings, and with NGOs. I am also a real estate investor in Quebec and Mexico.

Born in Beauport in the Quebec region, I am the daughter of two extraordinary teachers. In 2001, I started my bachelor’s degree in teaching English as a second language in secondary school (I always loved teaching). Still, after one semester, I wasn’t convinced I wanted to make it my lifelong career. I continued my education in international studies and later pursued a master’s degree in political science/international relations.

My diverse background has allowed me to gain knowledge in sales (trained by various expert firms such as Miller Heiman, TeneoResult, and Fusion Learning), personal development, and success psychology. . I have undergone thousands of hours of training and read many books to understand better and develop myself to grasp the recipe for successful people. I have also learned to use neuroscience to improve my negotiation skills continually. With experience, I realized that the benefits are maximized by adopting a multidisciplinary approach that goes beyond sales.

I have achieved positive and increasing results throughout my career. Negotiation, persuasion, and sales have always been part of my life. Whenever I have the opportunity to negotiate with someone, I see it as a chance to learn and a game.

Here are some varied examples of my experiences over the past 20+ years that contribute to the sales and business development expertise I would like to share with you:

After completing my college studies, I worked as a tour guide in the summer. My role was to showcase and sell the attractions of the beautiful city of Quebec. At the same time, I worked as a G.O. / entertainer in all-inclusive hotels in Mexico during the winter. I learned how to connect with customers, engage them in my activities, and develop conversations with different personalities and cultures.

I worked for six years in international development on entrepreneurship projects in Africa and Latin America, including for Cirque du Soleil and with the Right Honorable Joe Clark, former Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada. I had to create proposals to attract institutional and private funders and develop and negotiate partnerships with local and international organizations.

For ten years, I held executive positions in sales and business development for large multinational companies, including SNC-Lavalin and Engie. I managed significant financial and technical proposals/submissions and contributed to securing infrastructure projects worth hundreds of millions of dollars in Canada and abroad. I also managed transnational teams.

In 2020, I generated over a hundred new clients for an extensive North American company specializing in emergency post-disaster services. I achieved over 215% of my pre-established sales target.

I am a property owner in Montreal and Mexico, negotiating short- and long-term rentals. Despite the circumstances, our occupancy rate was exceptional during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

I am also a mother… It’s a perpetual negotiation!
